Balto -- I agree on Friday's headwinds. Except for the wind it was a great day for riding. I don't know why my wrist got better, but I didn't change handlebars. I took 3 days off the bike and wore a wrist brace on Monday. By Thursday it was passable and by Friday it was fine. Maybe it was the three days off the bike or maybe it was three days of hectic boredom doing a server changeover at work. Don't know, all I can say is that it was nice to be back on the bike.
Velo -- Good to hear you turned down the GGW offers. Its a shame that things are moving so slowly in NOLA and the whole Gulf Coast. We were in New Orleans a few years ago post Mardi Gras but it was still a great time. I hope they manage to get back on their feet without losing the character of their city.
Cigtech -- impressive speeds, even in the flat landscape of Fla that is a fabulous average. Personally I think Cyclaholic catches hold of a passing truck to get his speeds. I am always amazed how much difference a good drive train cleaning and lubing does for my speed.
I dragged my son out for a short ride over to the grocery store this afternoon. Except fot the cold wind it was a nice day for it. Can't wait until things get a little more spring like so we can expand our family riding.
