Sooooo...Ashtabula fork spread open 10-15mm per side, bolted to a stamped DO eyelet tapped for a #10 bolt. I'm not sure you can cold set the fork ends on an Ashtabula fork, and I wouldn't trust my teeth to a pair of #10 bolts and nuts that are tasked with:
  1. not shearing with 75+ lbs focused on them
  2. Resisting the tension of the Ashtabula fork ends trying to stay in line with the splayed fork blades.
I dunno, maybe the guy was a genius and altered the DO so you could run a bit of axle through it, with nuts on both sides, and spaced and set the fork ends to align with whatever the outside DO distance is.



Makes me wonder how many bicycles you could do this with . . .
