Not to be a stickler, but I believe the correct term is ‘cycling trousers’.
For the first time ever I bought a pair with gel inserts and on long rides (50+ miles) my sit bones thanked me. Won’t be going back to sitting on sponges for long hauls. Not that there is anything wrong with the use of sponges in polite company, vodka bottles not withstanding.
