I am setting back my old Colnago Crystal. Just changed the cassette and chain, both 9 speed campy. Got 2000 record 9 speed shifters. I changed the cassette and chain as it jumped on 19 and 21. Thought it was only because normal wearing, but still can’t get it work properly, it won’t jump all the time but eventually it does. I wonder if it is the derailleur (also campy 9 speed) and I should change it. If so. I have a campy Xenon 10V, could it work better than the old one? Got this from another bike I sold and kept some pieces. And, what is the real difference between a 9,10,11 V’s derailleur? Is there any real difference in chain space or something? I really don’t understand this specific topic. I know the difference on the 9,10 etc shifters and pulling ratio on each one, but derailleur works the same don’t they?
