Off topic a bit but is the Tiagra/105 Cassette width the same? In other words, should I ever decide to upgrade the wheels, do I need to find a wheel set that is dedicated to a 10 speed cassette or would a compatible wheelset work with both a 10 speed or 11 speed cassette?

105 isn't any lightweight crank either. Even the other 105 components are heavy compared to their 11 speed Ultegra counterpart. However 11 speed 105 for the most part shifts every bit as well as Ultegra.
And Tiagra 4700 shifts as decent as anything else sold today as ten speed. Maybe better than the older lines of 10 speed from the more famous tiers.
