I recently found this thread - Pewter Trek Gets A Manicure - and acquired the product referenced, for my '83 730. I've only done one small test; didn't even feather the edges as described. Definitely better than the ugly scratches, but not a dead-on match. Better prep might yield better results; just haven't sliced out the time to do so.
