I am a believer in having the bars in a position to support comfortable rides for as many hand positions as possible while still being able to use the brakes effectively.
IMHO your Ergos are too far down the bar. The ends should line up with the bottom of the flats. Doing that would angle the hoods more towards you improving hand comfort. Not a big deal because you should do a better job on the bar tape anyway!

Often I just rest my hands on the hoods without clasping them. Went over a speed bump without noticing it and my left hand slipped over the front of the hood causing the wheel to turn left..... Face plant! I don't do that anymore and like my hoods a little higher.
