When I was in The NG at Camp Edwards/Otis AFB/USCG Station Cape Cod we MPs could eat at any open mess on post when on duty. We inevitably ended up at the Chief's mess at the Coast Guard air station, best chow on post. They did the coffee with salt, and also with ground eggshells.
