My main rides are My Bike and My Rain Bike, also known as My Spare Bike. The most frustrating part of bike maintenance happens after I need to do something to My Bike (right now, rebuild a pedal and the right Ergo shifter). Rather than waste a good Saturday morning, since it's good riding weather, I'll ride the Spare Bike. I know that, at some point, something's going to wear out on the Spare Bike, and then I'll have a perfect riding day -- sunny, light breezes, 65F in the morning warming up to just over 80F -- and instead of riding a bike, I'll have to spend the morning fixing both of them up before She Who Must Be Obeyed has something to do in the afternoon.

That's frustrating!

Why don't I wear stuff out in the middle of November or February when I'm looking for an excuse to stay off the bike and in the warm, dry house??!
