Masi was late to adopting the mod details.
the fork crown bore was easy, buying the bits to make a recessed brake bridge and special short fastener, not so much.
Masi was also late to migrating to the short dropouts. Lots of stock on hand.
moving to the Cinelli MC crown was a big time saver and an easier buyout. Late in the Carlsbad days they used investment cast crowns, I'm sure the reorder investment was not small.

the fork crown on the last Haro reissue was not bad but different, the fork curve is meh.
thickness of the lugs has increased.
the original investment cast lugs were pretty darn thin. I did not like the IC seat lug at the time but it was not done for technical difficulty but of the designer wanting to keep his earlier contribution his.

this last go by Haro was better than the earlier with the shot in seat stays.

my guess supply chain and demand has set the steel GC aside for now.
