yes it did, cause mine has that and is otherwise identical, I believe this was a "tourist" tool you could pack along, but it's sturdy enough for shop use (by non-gorillas).
When I get around to it I'll snap a pic of that handle, IIRC it did have some nubs or something to trap it in the hole but haven't used it for long enough that I don't recall.
It is short, which prevents "over-torque-ing"
