First of all, CVT implies that the transmission is continuously variable. It doesn't necessarily mean it is automatic as well. For example, what if your manual transmission Chevy had a lever you could slide from 1st to 4th, giving you all the ratios instead of just 4? That would be a CVT but not automatic, right?

Second, I am aware there are CVTs out there. The project is on shifter design only for those bikes.

Third, diagrams, cost, all that stuff are a ways off. If we're lucky maybe it will show up as a retro-mod for your jockey shifter on your old (non-original parts) Krate.

Fourth, I appreciate input on how the shifting will take place. The worm gear is a really cool idea to toss around. And the details are where I come in... Mainly, the biggest help I need right now is data for consumer preferences. Sooooo if you could fill out the survey....
