I was referring to the third bar too, the quaver starts on the second beat of the bar, straight after the crotchet, there being four beats to each bar. The minim was not extended; it creates what I considered to be a pleasant separation.
There might be something I haven't quite understood, like 4-4 written as an accentuated "1 and 2 and one and two and" since I have accentuated certain notes. which may give such impression.
I'm more than happy to be educated. But my music (I mean the composer's haha) was never meant to be anything other than a fun piece, to be played with gusto as the tune matures.
Two people will most probably play it in two different ways.
I'm not trying to make it something it isn't, but no-one'll get depressed playing this!
