Sleep is definitely the issue with shoulder problems, I used to wake up when rolling over but after surgery, I was good. Fast forward 4 years to a broken clavicle, broken scapula, humerus, 5 ribs, trocanter, and elbow all on the left. I found that stuffing pillows or I should say wedging them into my left side kept me from rolling over for at least part of the night......sharing in case that helps. Some say sleeping in a lazy boy type chair works, too.
