A modern steel frame passes, aluminum, no. Unless, of course, it was built in 1987 or earlier. So a 1987 Klein with proper kit passes, but a 1988 Klein would not. But I find that @Classtime is joining the Eroica Carabinieri and is wise to this, and has probably already downloaded the Klein serial number secret decoder ring to foil my plot.
