One of the first bikes I thrift picked 25yrs ago was a metalic blue SS about like OP. I think mine was a '68, it had the same stem/dropouts/dt bosses/chrome fork. It became my first fixed gear in late '99 with an epoxied freewheel before I laced my first wheel for it. I've always had a soft spot for fillet brazed schwinns since, but I don't think any of them have resonated the same for me as that first one.
