So - how do we interpret this number? The frame is a Gitane Tour de France from the foil sticker Mel Pinto era with long point Prugnat lugs and a curly Nervex Pro fork crown with swaged seat stay tops and a brazed-on rear brake cable stop bridge, 60 cm to top, 58 cm top tube. The only markings are 31161 on the NDS dropout.
