I hear you. Like when we moved from the Belizean rainforest directly into downtown Merida. At the former home we had to travel 45 minutes to spend any money at all, and at the new one we could walk out the door and around the corner. Not to mention four or five malls scattered about.
The only take out places around my old place were McDonalds, Burger King, a third rate diner, and two Chinese joints. Pathetic. We had Chinese virtually every Saturday night because there were no other options.
