My wife and I attended a tandem gathering in Florida years ago and the starting temp was 55° or so. My wife and I opted for 3/4 tights, arm warmers, and a vest. The dozen or so locals went full polar with balaclavas, down coats, polar gloves, etc. People kept asking us if we wanted to borrow clothes.
