So frustrating, We installed new AC/heat this past spring. The unit works awesome, however, they didn’t replace the dampers to direct airflow, and they do not work awesome. Upstairs especially our room is always hot as hell, downstairs is usually frigid. Well last week, I took the time and finally got it evened out. It’s not easy because the dampers are aligned right and I don’t think they move when they are supposed to. I used duct tape to hold them into position, while we were out yesterday the tape must have shifted and last night our room was a furnace. You need to get the system balanced to even out the flow to different rooms. The little louvers don't do anything but direct the flow direction.
