Bikes: Several

Bikes shoes are something that fit is critical. Best to find something you like and stick with it. Granted models change, but with the standard brands fit typically doesn't, at least I haven't found it to with Sidi. I stick with them and order with confidence. I find that their "mega" sizes suit my wide feet. So far I have always been able to count on a good fit.

If I insisted on trying unknow brands/models where fit was more iffy, I'd either buy local or where I knew that returns would be easy. Fit issues aren't always obvious right away with shoes, so it is best to buy from somewhere that would allow returns after some use. REI comes to mind. I don't worry with Sidis because the fit has been consistent across multiple pairs of different shoes of different models over the years. I think they must use the same lasts. I just order a sidi model in 45 Mega with confidence. I'd imagine standard brands would be similarly consistant, but maybe not. I know that running shoe brands seemed to screw up models that I liked with model changes every year. I quit running a few years ago so I no longer deal with that.
