I appreciate the OP posting this deal, and the discussion regarding the wheels. I personally would have bought them if I needed them, and would not feel like I’m risking my life.

I’ve ridden with friends who had their carbon Easton wheels snap spokes and nearly caused accidents. I have friends who have discovered cracks in their name brand carbon frames (Orbea and Canyon.) They are more casual riders and not racers. The name brands may have better QC but some of the lesser brands may be very good. We all make decisions based on our comfort level.
