This thread did get me thinking of my own personal results from waxing. So I tracked my miles on 2 different bikes, one that is used exclusively in wet/nasty weather. Everything from heavy sea mist, pouring rain, standing puddles, and mud. I rinse the bike after each ride with fresh water to get the salt off and lube all the moving parts, excluding the chain. I get approx. 200 miles between needing wax. On the trainer, which never sees anything more than my sweat, I get approx. 450 miles between waxing. Real life results. I do protect the bike from my sweat, for what it's worth.
