A previous owner removed the anodizing, so the post is polishable. It's quite clean above the limit line, except for some shallow zigzags nearer the bottom which can be polished out. There is a little anodized finish remaining near the clamp, which could be removed if one is OCD about these things (as I have a tendency to be).
