Another lap today. Tree crews out on the trails. A lot of wood down along my part of the lake loop. No idea how they are choosing which thngs to grind up. Probably whatever seems the most likely to fall on someone's head. This is sort of the second round of destruction. We had years of drought up to 2018-19 and then soaks and storms knocked down a lot of deadwood. This is just the same thing happening again, maybe more so. All of the stuff that fell down was not in good shape. I saw one redwood but most of the victims are foothill pines, which are not skilled at finding vertical to begin with and sometimes grow in bunches that eventually crack in the middle
