Expensive Components with Rust-Prone Bolts
Expensive Component:

WCS CARBON 1-BOLT ZERO OFFSET SEATPOST - $259.95



Steel mounting bolt after a few years, rusted:




Single bolt replacement cost (boltdepot.com):
  • zinc-plated steel: $0.42
  • stainless steel: $0.62

Same issue with Ritchey stem mounting bolts. They become rusty after 1 or 2 seasons.

Why, Ritchey? Why?
