Clean, smooth, and grippy. No bumpy effect on the overwrap. Basically indestructible. Easy to clean. I don't see a downside, which is why it's all I use now.
i can confirm , on my old road bike i had the exactly bar in the photo plus the same color.
ps. any advice for a good locking silver tape?
