Fuse Tape is an affordable alternative to expensive bike specific tapes. Not sticky but it will fuse to itself after a day of bonding at each overlapping wrap on the bar. A tidy, long lasting installation. No need for additional closure tape at start of the wrap. Only $4.98 at Home Depot.
That's electrical tape. I use it to secure the end of the handlebar tape run, but I would never use this as handlebar tape.
