This one is strange to me - the T-700 was a highly regarded touring bike, but this model year - despite the "Touring Series" label on the seattube - does not have canti brakes, has no mid-fork eyelets, only one eyelet on the dropouts, and has downtube shifters. In the '87 catalog, it even touts that "it's racey geometry gives it a road feel that no loaded-touring style bike can match". I guess they were morphing it into more of a sport tourer by this time.
