SID brake post threading

I want to install the V-brake posts on a '00 rockshox sid that, prior to this, solely used disc brakes. Dirt and grime has collected in the threads of the sockets and posts. I've heard that I can use a matching tap to clean out the threads, however I cant seem to find the specs on the threading pitch anywhere.

Can anyone help me with this? Or do any of you know a good alternate method of getting these nice and clean?

Thanks in advance,
Brian
