I haven't been on bikeforums for over a decade (still been riding though) and was amazed at how downhill quickly some of these threads go. Like within the 1st 30 posts and it turns into a dumpster fire lol.

a decade ago it was the anti-helmet zealots threads I would try to not get sucked into, but now its innocuous threads about commuting that turn sideways with the quickness.

I'm glad to be back though! Happy to buy a new bike with electronic shifting, hydraulic disc brakes, and integrated no visible wires and post rants about the good ole days when it was easy to wrench on bikes that cost 1/10th as much and were better because they were made of steel, or hand laid carbon from 1st world countries (ahem not china) to stir up some trouble!
