Very interesting article and thanks for sharing. Fact is that Suntour disappeared more or less after 1990 in road bike road group transmissions when Shimano introduced the Dura Ace 7402-7410 with 8 speed and the STI. Gianni Bugno won his world champion title with Dura Ace 7410 and numerous teams won several races with Dura Ace 7410. Dura Ace 7400-7402-7410 was the longest produced Dura Ace from 1986 till 1996.
