The chainstays were designed to be short enough to keep the rear wheel tucked in close to the seat tube, and the top tube was cut down, too, so the wheelbase was incredibly short. As you might imagine, the handling took some getting used to, from what the purchasers told us.


This flyer is from 1992 but there were smaller wheels and 'children' frames much earlier, that's for sure.
