Montreal's not one of these cities where there's a ton of fixed/ss bikes anyway (the couriers are catching up on hipness points though, but they're mostly on ss's), but they ones that do, there's no such thing as njs chic. You see a bike with no bar wrap, it means it fell off, and the rider doesn't ride enough to know the difference anyway. Seems to be the same in non-west Philly. Winobikes.
All these bikes with naked bars, I'm picturing divets of flesh plugging the holes where the riders banged up against them. And lots of slipping hands.
