I have those on one of my bikes, but the boxy shape takes some getting used. The others are more in line with the bike, thus preffered.

Yep, that will work, but there are also more stylish mid-late 80’s Shimano clamps that will do the job and look more vintage-y.
Just avoid the ones with 4.5mm mounting bolts and you should be fine.
