They do look good but I can't imagine you get a good grip. Also, I like to avoid chrome as it is so poisonous to the environment. The rubbery grip tape (two-tone, sewn together) is so great. It feels like tennis racket tape, a little pricey but you have a positive connection.

I keep using innertube, if you take your time and cut it right, wrap it right, you get nice looking, distinctive and really comfortable grip, also protects your top tube in the city.

BTW, the naked bar thing, don't do it with pentagonal Cinelli bars. Ow, Ow, Ow!
