Now, in keeping of the spirit of the outrage this bike will inspire, I suggest you cut the cage off a campy pedal and use that for your drop bolt. Might have to use a NR as they are steel. It will be stiff very still a plenty long. Plus you are good with the grinder, so cutting it should not be a problem. I have a donor pedal, damaged in crash that not good for anything else…..
