in a word, yes. this really isn't a image/name thing. the change will be very noticeable. i "upgraded" to the nashbar clips after i broke the plastic clips that came on my bike. plastic literally shattered. rode the nashbars for a bit, but found that they were almost more flexy than the plastic (aaand had that annoying tendency to bend down). got mks clips with my mks pedals and never looked back.

although it doesn't help my case, i do have to confess i only ride clipless now. doesn't change the fact that if i got pedals with clips, i wouldn't get anything less. if you've got some extra cash to blow, double straps look awesome, but i've never ridden any.
