Your point are perfectly made but are irrelevant to my study regarding the status of historic brands and builders.
However, I do not mean to say the comments are irrelevant in general - they may not be within the scope of the study, but you and several others have brought up multiple perspectives and pertinent facts about frame building as a technology and in relation to cycling culture that are well worth keeping in mind as I move forward with the project. For example, I should absolutely be wary not to give the wrong impression to an audience that may be unfamiliar with the burgeoning custom steel frame market outside of the historic marques that the study will focus on. I will not want to mislead anyone into believing that the craft of steel frame building is a dying art, so it will be important for me to premise the observations and arguments being made with such things in mind.
Again, truly appreciated and thanks for your time.
