Do you have the time and resources for a project bike? It can be a real piece of junk. You can take it apart and reassmble it to get a feel for how it works. Read or watch how to adjust or replace the brakes, then work on it. Adjust gears, adjust bearings, remove this, rebuild that, and so on and so forth.
