I see a lot of the old high-end Japanese bikes here in Tokyo. Japan seems to have kept their best bikes in the country, and I have seen some very interesting ones. The Zunow Z1 with Prestige tubing, or the 3 Rensho Katana, the Bridgestone Grand Velo, the various M-Idea bikes (beautiful lug work), etc. The makers of the Keirin track bikes (Makino. Cherubim, Level, Nakagawa, Proton) all made road bikes as well, though not in great numbers. Tubing can be anything, Ishiwata, Tange, Columbus, or even Reynolds.
