Certainly the light blue (alloy parts) is anodizing...wonder if this was supposed to reference blue jeans (the main Carrera product)?
As noted by 1simplexnut, you're correct, carbon fiber tubes. About the blue jeans, I got the same idea.

Yes, makes me think of a blue tinted clear coat. As it is my opinion a very nice colour I'm afraid you're right, it peels easily off. In some way it looks like the old chromovelato, transparant finish and vulnerable.
