My 1989 63cm Bottecchia Equipe (in ADR livery) has (according to the catalog) 73 degree seat tube with 75.3 degree headtube and 40mm fork offset. So it appears that after this article came out, Carnielli changed the geometry. According to the numbers in the article, the test bike has 44mm of trail. My bike has 47mm trail. Both those numbers are somewhat low, considering that most modern builders like a trail number between 50-60mm. How much 3mm of trail affects handling, I don't know, but I like the steering on mine because it's a large bike and, with the large wheelbase, the lower trail keeps the handling from being sluggish.
