Capacitor in the main light will take some time to charge, after a few minutes of ride. However standing light will be on on both lights. You may contact Supernova for tech support to assess this issue, maybe they can have a solution. Or the Birdy dealer who shipped them do you. At the end of the day your lights are under warranty.
The front standing light is ok, it remains on even after I stopped. But the rear light seems to be missing the capacity/battery power storage, it would go off immediately after I stopped. I understand that the circuits are in the front light, and the rear is merely a direct connection to the LEDs.
I have emailed Kemper and told them the issue. Hopefully they have a solution without having to return the lights.
