Colnago, as per their standard geometry have always been excellent. NOT a bike for everyone.... Who amongst you know of Dei, Picchio, Galmozzi, Messina, Fiorelli, just to mention but a handful of superior builders/brands that never made the cut?
I own a 1968 Coppi by Fiorelli. Pretty decent machine. 50 years ago It was noted to be a good machine by an owner of one who bought it in Italy. Mine has middle level components, Tipo hubs, Gran Sport derailleurs, Universal brakes, Stronglight cranks. The handling is not Colnago sharp but better for longer rides. Nicely built, the frame received some of the effort the "small" builders did, the seatlug ears filled with a tube and brass then sculpted back like Masi, Pogliaghi and Colnago did, the slot has a stress riser relief that DeRosa neglected, in other words, decent details throughout. Under appreciated.
the chrome could be better.
