Have the LBS install a set of Kool Stop Continental pads on all the bikes and they will stop better, but don't ride them in the rain unless you have a set of wheels built with aluminum rims.
Do you have a key for the Superbe fork? If not, there are a few shops out there where you can source them. If you can find Panaracer Col DeLaVie tires, they are the best you can get for those wheels.
Watch both of those saddles. Your "new" bike has a B72 which looks like it's splitting at one of the rivets in the nose. A B66 or B67 is the perfect saddle for these bikes (I have a few myself).
Get some oil in those Sturmey hubs and remember to not put pressure on the pedals when shifting. Happy riding!
