That saddle may have one more ride left in it. Grab a cheap comfort saddle and save up for the Brooks.
It may be sacrilege, but considering the potential for wet weather, you could put on a Brooks Cambium C19 or C67. They are vulcanized natural rubber and canvas construction, and I used to be a purist because I love my leather Brooks but I got a C19 and was converted! My significant other got a C67 (this is the upright saddle) and she loves it. Another thing about the Cambium line is that they are comfortable from day one, and don't require any break-in. They are about the same price as the leather ones but you don't have to worry about the weather potentially harming the saddle. Granted, the leather Brooks always absorb moisture, but a normal fair-weather ride doesn't cause a soaking of the whole saddle like in a rain. Brooks also makes good waterproof covers (or you could use a plastic bag too.)
If I recall correctly, that is the # for the key but do a bit of research before pulling the trigger.
