Check threads for women triathlon riders, or local shops. Most of the women I've seen locally who compete in triathlon wear shorty padded shorts for training rides and competition. No idea where they buy 'em. I've thought about asking but it seems like a weird question from a guy they don't know.

My thighs are somewhat disproportionately long and most standard padded cycling shorts and bibs don't reach anywhere near my knees. Gives me that classic 1960s-early '70s look when cyclists, boxers and basketball players rocked those short shorts.

BTW, a recent techie article about Remco Evenepoel said in testing he was faster wearing short shorts than the currently fashionable knee-length bibs and TT skin suits. I can't find the link but basically they were trying to discover his secret sauce for effortless speed and concluded he's gifted with a physique that's perfect for cycling (especially on a TT bike), in addition to his engine and work ethic.
