It was on the bike when I got it. I spent two days of spare time wheeling through every combination from 0000 on up to unlock it and be able to use it again. If bike locks were not necessary then they would not be profitable enough to manufacture and would not exist. Nice that some people live is whatever shangri-la where they do not have to lock up their bikes, good for you.
