Wow, a really nice morning's ride in. Cool and clear, next to no traffic. Except for the municipal train, which cleared the road in just a couple minutes...
The cattle-grazing field near the cube farm surprised me a bit; a bob-white was flying over it, and a trio of barn swallows, and a meadowlark was singing. But the bluebird boxes seemed empty, though I saw a bluebird in the next forested stretch a quarter mile off. I guess I missed the bluebirds fledging this year.
